How is that a GSX 1100?
Looks like a custom framed GSXR to me.
Obviously pretty loose 'regs' for classic racing in the UK.
Dale & Trevor should take the Steve Martin/Shawn Giles Katanas over & show em how it's done.

that frame is sexy as and is a rep of the org... mmmmnnn gas flux silicon bronze welded so nice
but im with you how is a gsxr 1100 motor in the rules
btw in aus from mem the only reason kwaka's are not up front with those kats is they cant use methanol tho back in the day they did, dont quote me on this I was rather dunk last time I was talking to people that were there at the time lol

Sorry lads, I copied the text from the video title and pasted it in. It's clearly a GSXR1100 motor and the original title creator must have typed it wrong, or as you said, the rules must be laxed in the UK and the GSX family of that era are all considered the same.

I vaguely recall something about testing with that motor while the GSX motor was buing built?
I do love those XR69s.

Given that they were changing engines between races at the Phillip Island Classic, I don't reckon the Kat would make race distance at the TT.

I went to Jurby when I visied the IOM in 2007.

Looked like they found the only flat part of the island...or they cut the top of a coupla mountains off...enough to make an RAF base back in WWII times.

It's a old weasel out but really comes down to rules ATM
We have more than enough power at the strip and over a power level even the suzi's are two valve.
I have been shown some really shit work by some big names in the after market of late as well
Can any1 say falicon cranks :-(
Both the z and gs based air cooled motors would put a horn on a jelly fish when they tuned right
I just happen to bleed green :-)
