I'm not too sure what they're called but it fits onto the end of the gearchange shaft. It has a rose joint female fitting on it that connects to the gearchange rod from the rearsets. I've lost my one and need another one (obviously).
The one pictured has, for want of a better word, a fine spline and the one I need has a coarse spline.
It is needed for my 1979 Suzuki GSX 1100 ET motor and ideally I'd like the fitting from an 1100 Katana so I'm hoping that TK and KevKatana are reading this ;) The pictures might help if my description doesn't

  Now now TK we've discussed this before and as I already told you my arse IS NOT for sale.
I reckon that in your hoooge cavern of lost and wayward motorcycles and having spent hours and hours searching for said rare part you've not been able to find said rare part and for that I thank you, but, if on the other hand you wake up tomorrow morning and just accidentaly trip over one that the Kat gremlins had been hiding from you I'm all ears ;)

Any of the 3 listed below might be worth a try? They would not be too hard to find (Ebay links)

You may need to have one custom made out of an old gear lever, Heim joints are pretty cheap
