Looks bloody great TK, well done.

I think you'll find they are stockers that have been machine mate. Daz knows a guy that does them.

So TK, I know you won't read this for a few days, but is that a Triumph SSS. Difficult to tell polished up and from those angles.

The tailpiece definitely looks TL race glass but fuck me that looks good! I don't usually like them but in this application it looks the business.

One gooed up clutch cover window. You started the bike in the cold to take the photo mate?

The stumpy can is something else mate. Love it.

...and as for the mad shark/toothy snake ram air intake, what can I say?

Home modded gaurd or off the shelf number?

Again, that tank and tail work perfectly. Most impressed mate.

OK, after having it called everything from a Fireblade to a Thunderace to a Speed Triple (with an extra cylinder?) to a fucking dirty GSXR (I knifed that cunt in the throat) at the GP, I'm gunna hafta put a K on the tank.
Here's a quick spec sheet...
'95 ZXR 750 L frame (That Latheboy fucker put a crack in it when I wasn't looking :() standard subframe (rear section removed)
'96 ZX9B motor - stock, converted to 38mm carbs (much more responsive than the std 40s) Deanobuilt windowed clutch cover.
Nitrous system is a mix of Nos, NX & Marvin Miller bits, 2lb bottle.
VFR 800 Vtec swinger/brakes converted from 4 bolt drive to centrelock to suit Trump wheel.
Triumph Daytona front & rear wheels (I can't handle non matching wheels)
Standard Triumph (F) & Honda (R) discs - waverised.
Hayabusa forks.
TLR 6 spots.
Custom Billet clamps.
Standard ZXR tank, TLS Raceglass tail cut & shut/reshaped, MCS led cateye t/light 'Glass TLS front guard shortned, reshaped & cutouts with s/s mesh inserts.
s/s sheet undertray.
Ex TKA carbon fibre battery/electrickery carrier.
Shortened/reshaped ZXR seat.
MCS twin spots & gauges.
Oversize lowrise fatbars & risers.
Modified/reshaped ZX7 footpeg hangers & race style alloy pegs.
Heaps more mods to do to it yet but I'll wait until a week or 2 before the next Fools Run before I start on 'em ;)
Ivan's mate Owen came up with a killer name for it too but I'm fucked if I can remember it.

TK looks great mate. bet the nitrous makes it get up and boogie - have you run it over a dyno yet?
And I now what you mean about your bike getting called dirty names - i've had mine called a buell 3 times...

thank god there are sharks in the brisbane river to cover my tracks...

TurboKat
23-12-2007, 09:39 PM
Thanx Kids, Yeah Peshh, I've been using it as my daily rider lately so I'm on the Monash twice a day, rain or shine, it kills me how shitty looking it gets so quickly & I hate polishing it all - so I don't. [V]
Kato, That handsome beast is my good mate Billy Joe Jim Bob, he's a 2 1/2 year old American Bulldog, I got him from the Pound about 6 months ago, He's a good Lad. [^]
I've had 2 Boxers so if you're fond of them, I understand why.

Hey TK, very inspiring build, love it. I've noticed you've removed the engine / frame brace, how does the bike handle without it mate?

TurboKat
15-09-2009, 02:21 PM
Wow !! Talk about digging up old threads, I nearly forgot I had this bike [:o)]
The ZXRs don't have that brace Rod & they appear to do fuck all on the ZX9s as far as any 'bracing' goes so feel free to pull it off, I doubt you'll feel any handling difference but you'll certainly be losing weight - something all B model 9s can do with.
I understand why you'd want to get rid of the brace though, they're ugly as fuck - like GSXRs. [^]
