Very pretty mate...you need a clear clutch cover ;)

Yeah i know.
The problem with that is the clutch cover actually has a support bearing in the middle of it that sits on the spindle on the presure plate.
Maybe some little windows or something but they are an expensive thing to fuckin about with.

Had the bike out at the track yesterday for the first time since June.
After a few little issues due to time off the track we finally got a pass in.

We were pretty happy with the outcome considering the HOWLING headwind.
First pass with a completely new setup & a slider clutch that i've never used before & we went 9.77 @ 136.65mph with a 1.39 60ft.
ET was down a little, 60 wasn't bad & woohoo, we've got the MPH back which was a real problem before.
A couple of little tweeks & adjustments here & there & we might see numbers that we've only ever dreamed of.

Thanks Benz.
Our best 60' was 1.36 & that was on our PB pass of 9.34sec @140mph.
That was with a killer tuneup that was killing clutches so i backed it off.:(

The concencus is that once the slider is set up properly (it's damn close) & i have a handle on it (i'm nowhere near it yet LOL)that the 60's will come down to 1.2something at least.:D
If that is so then i will put the old killer tuneup back in it & go chasing 9.20's maybe even a 9.1something.[:0][^][^]

For curiosity's sake, what were your 60's before the new clutch set up?

60's over the last few times at the track were anywhere from 1.42 - 1.8.

We just couldn't get any bloody consistancy out of the old setup & the more we chopped & changed it the worse it got & we were smashing shit all the time.
That's why we bit the bullet & shelled out all the hard earned for the slider.

Had the bike out to the TNT last night.
Couldn't believe how many people weren't there, about 50 cars & only 8 bikes. [:0]
Got three good passes in before we were stopped by a flat rear tyre.
All three passes went 1.39 60' with the et's being 9.55, 9.59, 9.54, so the new slider is doing it's thing.
Just waiting on a shim kit from the states & then we can start tweeking it.:D
The biggest surprise of all was the MPH on the last pass,,,,,,,146.63MPH. [^][^]
That is a huge PB for us, the previous best being 141.38 & not only do i have the time slip but also video of the time board.
It was in the braking area on this pass that the bloody rear tyre went down while i was still doing 100 od mph, not fun i can tell ya.
The tyre is now stuffed so a mad rush to get a new one before the TF's in 2 weeks time.[V]
