View Full Version : NOBODY'S FOOL RUN November 15, 16

rod185651
03-08-2008, 07:57 PM
On the week end of November 15 and 16 a few of us ( Chase, Jockney Rebel, Weasel, Billy Bob and myself) have agreed to participate in a weekend of riding and drinking to a destiny unknown. We will be heading south towards the NSW / Victoria border maybe spending a night at the Snowy Mountains?

To be honest, at the the time of writing this post Fuck knows where we will end up ;) However we need more numbers to make this a ride to remember, maybe a ride worth repeating every November?

So I'm inviting every one who reads this to join us on the NOBODY'S FOOL RUN 08 [8D] Also if anyone has any brilliant ideas of where we should go, places to stay etc, your input is welcome.

The success and enjoyment of the recent NSW rides has been due to every participants flexibility. So put your hand up, give some input and then prepare for the best riding crammed in one weekend :D:D

How does this sound for a rough idea?

We take the coast road down to Bega and then from there ride through the Kosciuszko National Park until we reach Khancoban that way we should get in a good days riding and hopefully meet ASF members from Victoria and other states at Khancoban.
An option is to leave Sydney on Friday morning and stay at Bega Friday night and then ride to Khancoban on Saturday.
When we arrive at Khancoban, park the bikes at a prebooked motel/hotel and then start some serious socialising ASF style and then head back home on Sunday.

Like I said just a rough plan at the moment,
Who's keen?

i reckon if its just gonna be us few the S/C lodge sounds like a goer[we ll just have to behave ..a bit],but i reckon the best idea for a load of us is the motel anyway give me till after the weekend and ill have prices and all that for ya

rod185651

Jockney Rebel
13-08-2008, 08:04 PM
rod yeah the lodge sleeps 13 i assume its 13 bed spaces ..couldnt get hold of em tonight ill try tommorrow or the next day ..generally speaking at the mo everythings available but i reckon we should get this tied up by the middle of sept [ie booked and firm numbers in ]

I personally don't care who tags along, as long as they are in to bikes appreciate the streetfighter and want to have a good time ;)
Just from the last couple of ASF NSW rides I know of at least three people who rode with us as "guests" then after seeing what the ASF was all about decided to join the forum as members.

ok ..lads and lasses ive got 13 provisionally for sat night [pending confirmation] booked into the khancoban lakeside resort the breakdown is 11+1 couple at the moment
the prices are as follows 41 bucks a head for the saturday night its walking distance to the pub and they do good grub there bike friendly and theyve got loads of room if our numbers swell heres the link http://www.klcr.com.au/

what i intend doing ,if this is ok with everyone ill take the dough off ya on sept [and do a runner with it ]..and ill pay it with my plastic the reason i reckon we should go for this one is >
1.theyve dealt with big bike groups before
2.they know the best places to go
3.if our numbers swell or have a few latecomers weve got a better chance of getting evryone in the same place
4.the pubs across the road
so what dya reckon any questions ?

hi blokes and blokesses ive just had a heads up from a mate about a nutcase copper who loves to nick bikes in his little red neck town ..
the town is Bredbo on the monaro highway the limit im told on the runup to it is 100kph and just as u cross the rail way crossing it changes to 60kph but the local council dont cut the tree branches very often so the limit sign is obscured and he s nicked me mate a couple of times he goes to the mountains evry year .. and he rides a bog standard Triumph bonnie ..

my mate also told me of a road that bypasses all of ACT ..he found by accuident ..its wee jasper rd comes off the hume higway just before marchmont and comes out on the Snowy mountains highway what do you reckon ?

no worries, Sunday it is. I'll look for bike friendly accom up towards Stanwell so its easier to find you lot. Except for driving through I haven't been around there in 20 years, and then I was 8.

Whats the Thirroul Hotel like? My parents friends owned it in the 80's, I think I remember it was in a pretty nice spot.

If there's still room I am def in for this ride.

No drama if not. I'll find some accomodation and just tag along.

Me and mate have had SF's for a couple of years but been pretty shite about getting on here so given we don't know any other guys with similar tastes in bikes, it'd be awesome to tag along.

Christ knows if he'll be in for it. I'll ask. But I am for sure

I can't get out to the pub on Sunday as I've got to work but if I need to chuck cash in to book a room etc, let me know.
