F.S. Keihin FCR Carbs

hey guys and gals. up for sale is my keihin FCR 39mm carbs, they are the 'downdraft' style i.e. engines on a lean, upright engines wont work with them i dont think.. they are in perfect condition, nothing has bin changed apart from the jets. im also including the handfull of different size main and pilot jets. its currently set up to run my 96 gsxr750, but with a few jet changes will run anything under the sun.. great carbs, awesome sound and will give a good size boost in power as well. need them gone to fund a new project..

asking price is $1200 ono.. brand new they will set u back over 3 grand. need them gone ASAP.

i can get pics if u REALLY want.. but there just normal keihin fcr's.. not sure of the center to center dimensions, but it will be the same as a stock 96-97 gsxr750, if anyone knows what that is please post. booster? that said i think that they can be adjusted.

they will come with the airbox adapters to fit the srad, or air filters can be put on them, the bolts to hold the adapters went walkabout but there easy to get..

wow. FCR carbs got very expensive all the sudden.

makes a fuel injection conversion with a set of late model throttle bodies and a MT4 fuel only computor plus a sensor or 2 sound cheap as chips.

deano.. go look at the price of a set of 4 keihin fcr carbs.. they have always been expensive.. and not everyone wants FI

i looked as you wanted me to and look what i found.

prices are in US dollars so allow about 8% increase for the conversion. and also postage on top.

i guess if you were to personally fly over to the states to collect them and fly back i could see where the $3k comes into it.

they seem to go for between $400 (secondhand) and $800 (brand new) on ebay usa.

i was not having a did at you in my earlier comment the OZ importer is probably setting the price that you were mentioning, i have never checked the price for these carbs from the oz dealer. i had only ever gone off the usa dealer or ebay usa. what i was getting at was that with modern technology getting cheaper along with the availability of FI bike parts like throttle bodies you would have to think twice about spending over $1000 on a set of carbs.
