I rang suzuki yesterday and they quoted me $175 for a new Petcock for the Gixxer. Has anyone already gone done this path and found it cheaper somewhere else? There is a guy on ebay that sells them in the states but he doesn't have one for an 89 model....

look on ebay for a rebuild kit for around $30 delivered or buy an aftermarket jobbie but that will cost the same as the suzuki quote.

That part numbers for an 86 model, which is different to the 89. The 89 has 2 fuel outlets and PN is:44300-17C02
Cykel and Link only had the rebuild kits, aren't weren't much help.

WTF. Just walk into a suzuki dealership and order one, They probably have one in stock if not overnight from Melbourne.
I just walked in and picked up a decal kit for a 1986 GSXR1100 Hyper Endurancer. How rare were they and they had the decal kit overnight.

That's who I rang a suzuki dealership. I want a new complete fuel tap not just a rebuild kit as mine is fucked. It looks like these things are a rare find. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and get it from Suzuki.
