Just casting around at the moment...plans are already forming in my head after collecting a certain nose fairing from Rik......
Looking for the standard Z900,Z1000 type tank...or anything else similar.
What sort of top tube set on these things ?? Single tube or twin ??

They tend to go for around $250-300 for a decent one . I sold the last that I had before Xmas and the guy I sold them to got about $300 each on ebay a week later for them. Look at 80-81 Z750/1000 tanks as these are similar but alot cheaper. The tube set up on a Z900/1000 is a three tube spread with a bayonet rear fitting .

That's a Z1 tank still in the original paint my bet is it will go $400+. A Z650 tank is similar shape & size should be able to find one for well under $100.

It will be grafted onto the xjr when it gets its rebuild. As the FJ project is gonna be stealth/futuristic style I'm going real ol' skool on the other...

How about this Rusty?
'81 XS 1100, no dings, no rust, no cap or tap.
I've had it hanging in the shed for ages, was gunna use it on a project.
I only paid $100 for it so it's yours for $250 hand delivered. ;)
The best part is you won't hafta cheapen any Kawasaki parts by putting them on a smelly <s>Hahaha</s> Yamaha

That should do the job mate, got the right top tube set up on the xs11
(Yep,had one of them, but the proper E model).

Can you just measure the overall width & length for me ?

And the fairing.....Hugh Keays-Byrne ;)

Length 560 mm + 30 mm for the mounting tab, width about 330 mm from badge to badge, height 255 mm.
Stone/Mad Max replica eh? Don't you realise those were PROPER MOTORCYCLES [^]

Yeah, but they were a bit under-powered so I'll just use a Yam 1200 motor :D

I'll measure my tank and compare...first thoughts is is might be a bit small.....How much ? considering its a 'smelly yamaha' bit and thus worthless to a <s>coneseuir</s> kwaknut like ya'self.

Gotta still be worth 100 bills I reckon. (including shipping from Melbournia to Brisbania)
