View Full Version : Monthly Ride: Sunday June 22nd

OK Guys and Gals, excellent to see so many people keen for another ride, so everyone has enough notice lets get the ride organised for June. I will be up in Queensland June 14th so that week-end is out for me, how about JUNE 21st? I agree the ride should be South of Sydney this time so lets get our heads together and nut out a decent ride and confirm the date as it will be getting cold very soon and the rides in July and August may be shorter runs to the Pub.

Sweet lots of chat about whos house to stay at but what i really whant to know is were to go .
May be a ride down the coast to bega and back up the hill to cooma or for those that want to crash the night we could stop in at my house in Bermagui the night and then hit the road back down to the bay and up the hill .

Just a may be you know to get the ball rolling

rod185651
28-05-2008, 05:37 PM
This is a ride suggested by Rob, I like it as we can do it on the Sunday, and as it won't take up the whole week-end hopefully we can attract more interest.

[quote]
"We met up at Loftus oval rode through the national park, good road but mossy in some sections can become slippery, then we headed down to the maquarie pass had a pie at Robinson then down through Jambaroo valley, back up the freeway to stanwell tops, If you go through the nasho early enough all you will come across is cyclists no cops there still in bed, maquarie pass is to much of a winding road for them they cant get you speeding(or catch you i should say) have to be careful of leaf litter same deal as the nasho, lots of bikes and cars congregate at Robinson pie shop could be coppers around there. all up its a bloody good ride just have to keep your wits about cornering. Then could have a few beers at Helensburgh pub." [quote]

Hey JT,
I would like to do this ride after Winter has been and gone. Sounds like a good ride eh, I've got a mate who's got a Beach house down at the Bay so maybe we can modify the ride a little so we all finish up there for refreshments.
cheers Rod

JayTee
28-05-2008, 08:59 PM
Why winter been and gone mate it is the coast it should be warmer down that way .
Well any ways we need to make the rides alittle closer for the Canberra conection .
The robinson ride with a few changes could work .
Like Picton way and accross the coast and back up Kanga vally and stop and Bundanoon bub and then head your ways home .

rod185651
28-05-2008, 09:16 PM
Why,,,? Because I lived down your way (In Canberra a few years ago) and I went to Bega around Easter time and I remember freezing my arse off, so I can imagine what it is like in June.

Ok,
so far we have got about seven bikes with myself, Bladehunter, Weaselman, Jockney Rebel, Chase, Darn and a mate on his Gsx1400.

Meet up place will be at Loftus oval at 9am. if anyone has any hassels give me a call, my mobile is 0416513076 looks like this will be the the last organised ride until the end of winter so it would be great to see a good turn out. Ride will be self paced with ample places to meet up, so there should be no stress on anyone to keep up or slow down for other riders. Can't wait to catch up with you all again on Sunday and if you haven't had a chance to come on a ride yet,... make the effort, you will be glad you did ;)

cheers Rod

Forgot to mention that if you want to catch up on Saturday night, come down to the Maroubra pub and have a beer. I only live about 100m away so you are welcome to park your bike in my lock up garage overnight and crash at my place until the ride the next morning. Won't be a big one for me as I don't intend doing the ride with a hang over.
