I could well be a goer on that fizzer. Was thinking about heading up to Jock's about that time.

We can compare FJ to FZ OK? What size you running? I think the 750 would disappear on me in the twisties atm. :D

PS where is RoadWarriors Cafe?

Just read the other post 87'. What's this about an SV? Do we have to make you ride with Fimp?

What about a Canberra ride? We've only got a few decent weekends left before the big freeze hits? (I promise I won't go making any fat jokes.............maybe)

I'm Northside guys, next to Olims Hotel in Civic. (Off streeet parking for bikes etc)

And yeah I've got an FJ11 on the road atm, just gathering bits for the fighter conversion (I wouldn't take the comments of other members too seriously, some think they actually 'know' more than they obviously do).

The Cotters a great rd, but it has become too popular in recent years. Back in the good old days Cotter Rd was the local biker fang road, even had a very nice pub by the Cotter Dam, unfortunately Stanhope burnt it down in the Fires.

Have you been out to Captains Flat yet? Not a bad road for bikes, and the local cafe does a top breakfast on a Sunday morn. I've also beeen thinking of checking out the road to Binalong for a new route.

Lucas
27-04-2008, 02:54 PM
I'm in Gordon. I'm still finding good rides myself. I've only had my bike for about a month and its been 4 years before that.

Up to Corin Dam is a fun twisty road, its only 10 mins from my place too :) (off the Cotter rd near tidbinbilla) just watch for gravelly corners and fools driving down the middle of the road. It'll start to get icy and snowy up the top soon tho.

from Q'beyan--> Sutton rd to Notron rd to bungendore-->kings hwy back to Q'beyan should be a nice ride too. Norton rd is nice and twisty. Lot o roos and gets a bit of snow tho.

YOu're not in kanangra are ya?

Fatgit
27-04-2008, 02:59 PM
Was my bike stolen 5 minutes after I bought it? Do I wander around witha needle in my arm? Nah, not in Kanangra.

I'm in Batman Ave (The Olims Side of Ainslie Ave). Does that make me a super hero??????????????????????????? or more a butler?

Lucas
27-04-2008, 03:06 PM
whats olims like for a drink. Never got into the place.

Fatgit
27-04-2008, 03:43 PM
It's not bad, only drunk there once meself since I've been here. Has a decent garden bar, and is more pub like than most places around Canberra. Looks like it's good for a decent feed.

Lucas
27-04-2008, 05:45 PM
I've know a few people who worked there and that kept me away from the place. That was quite a few years back though.

Going NTH on the left?

Fatgit
27-04-2008, 06:39 PM
3 1/2 hrs would get us to Woy Woy mate :D

I reckon more like 2 1/2 - 3. Are we gonna run straight through, or play on some nice roads on the way?

87fzr
28-04-2008, 05:10 PM
open to suggestions mate,ud probly know ur way round here alot beta than me.u know tha servo where the boys wanna meet at?also what sorta range ya get?the spewzuki gets thirsty when it cops a floggin.

Fatgit
28-04-2008, 05:39 PM
What about up the highway (Casual speed), right at Kangaroo Valley down to the coast about Narooma(fang the fecker), and up through Woollongong (casual speed). We can check out that highway that runs out over the sea, I haven't ridden it yet, and wouldn't mind.

There is also heading straight down to Bateman's Bay then up to Wollongong. Will take longer though.

OR Straight up highway, Left before Sydney and hit the Putty Rd. Have any of you guys done the Putty before? We should try to get it in for those who haven't, either on the way there or on the way back.

Range ain't an issue, kinda, I've got a 24.5 ltr tank, so my only issue is waiting for the guys with smaller tanks to refill. :D

I know the servo roughly, getting to it won't be an issue, it's on the main route from Sydney to Newie.

Is there a ride organised for after we meet up with Jim? The meet point is only 50 k's from Woy Woy.

I take it there's just the 3 of us going?

29-04-2008, 07:28 AM
The road from ACT to bateman's bay is fucking awesome tho! Even from the bay to the gong has some niceties! Comes right past my place too!...Handy if I had my fucking bike!

Fatgit
29-04-2008, 08:10 AM
As long as the road isn't full of 4-wheel driving, brain dead, bimbo public servants going away for the weekend, then it's a shit road.

If we come that way maybe we'll catch up for a cuppa or summat.

Fight_fan
29-04-2008, 08:26 AM
Its been pretty good every time ive dun it! Yeh sup to u! If ur coming thru post it up, It'd be cool to catch up with u lads!

Lucas

Fatgit
30-04-2008, 06:19 AM
What's this bikefest Jaytee? Not some MRA bullshit is it? I'll be up for a run to Captains Flat, spent a month out there recently.

JayTee
30-04-2008, 04:48 PM
It is just a test day for new riders and satuff at the triver training center and some stunt bike riding and some give aways and stuff .

Fatgit
01-05-2008, 07:17 AM
Yeah, might drop by, look for a grumpy 'Cruiser' looking kind of guy. Just don't look fast do I Turbo? :D (still wearing the fingerless and the headkickers)

Lucas
01-05-2008, 08:51 AM
I was thinking of getting a few mates together and coming out (wanted to see the stunting) but I is fucking working.......

Fatgit
01-05-2008, 09:31 AM
What do you do Lucas?

I finish my current contract in a week and a half, maybe we can organise a weekday ride?

Lucas
01-05-2008, 12:14 PM
I work for disability ACT.I was a carer until about a month ago. Now I'm organising shifts, rosters, agency staff etc.I usually work Sat through to Wed 1200-2030.

Fatgit
01-05-2008, 12:18 PM
Been there done that Lucas, ask some older people about Bruce Hostel.

Lucas
01-05-2008, 12:29 PM
Yeah, I heard all about that place. I started 5 yr back so Bruce was a few years gone by then.

What do you do with yourself?

Fatgit
01-05-2008, 12:38 PM
I'm in IT these days, data migration/modelling/reporting , did my degree while working at Bruce and a couple of the group houses.

I had a ball in that job, but 10 years was enough.

Lucas
01-05-2008, 12:52 PM
I thought 5 yrs was enough then I went to QLD and managed in aged care. I'm back here aren't I!!!

Its a pretty good job, pays well too considering you don't need any formal quals. I don't know of any job where you can pretty much walk in off the street and into a 60k job.

Lucas
01-05-2008, 01:00 PM
IT goes over my head. Compufuckingwhat????.

Fatgit
01-05-2008, 02:17 PM
Nah, computers are easy. It's like working on bikes, put in the effort, listen to some advice, read a little, and give it a go.

Lucas
01-05-2008, 03:58 PM
pah, advice. Who the fuck needs advice. :)

Fatgit
05-05-2008, 02:37 AM
How's it going fzr, went out to the fest, but it was full of public servants and their brats, so I left pretty quick.

How's about ctching up for a beer or summat?

Lucas
05-05-2008, 02:48 AM
I was gonna ask how it was. There were plenty of bikes out yesterday.

I saw a Busa I haven't seen about before. Covered in chrome and billet bits, Mirrors, grips etc and airbrush work all over it. Looked alright from what I saw of it but he was in a hurry, didn't see too much.

loosebruce
05-05-2008, 06:38 AM
Lots of bikes out there, I should have taken a camera.
Cunningstunts guys were good, caught up with a few people, met some more, not a bad arvo.
