Just a heads up mate, if you have to get the bike inspected at regency those type of lines pictured won't get through. The only braided lines that are legal are ones with one piece ends, POWER BRAKES at Norwood/Holden Hill (ad in trading post) make the legal ones. Most b*****d coppers seem to be able to tell the difference as well!!

I think what EFE is saying is that the ends need to be crimped, not screw-on.

efe ive heard about this and i reckon its bollox ive gt an MVRA licence to make these up for trucks aircraft etc but still they wont accept em on bikes it sucks big time they design is such that the more pressure u put on the line the tighter the join gets between the ferrule and the braid which is actually better than a crimped line cos its crimp is static
i suppose their argument is that unqualified ppl can make em
sucks

Not a problem the bike only has to go for an id check. I cant use those lines pictured as they are too short anyway, fitted myself some fat bars aye hence the reason I need some new ones.

I will be fitting some heat shrink over the ends and some yellow heat shrink to the braid if the replacement ones are screw on anyway make it harder for them police type to suss out.

Thanks chaps

The OD is 6.4mm measured with a digital vernier.

I unscrewed one of the ends and the banjo eyelet came ok but the nut and olive have stayed on as tight as a ducks arse. I will get a pic up and show ya what I mean

This bit is tighter than a ducks arse any hints on getting them off Jim.

The fittings are made by BSR if that is any help

let me consult our guru at work and ill let u know i cant remeber whether the ferrule has got a left hand thread or its pushed on and the olive is crushed down
if its the second type ill have to try and get u some olives and youll have to cut the nut off[ ie cut the hose behind the nut ] ill have a look at BSR fittings but the books are in the depot ill def get back to you on mon
