Hi guys I was cleaning out my shed and found this turbocharger I originally bought for a bike project. So I thought I would put it on here first. It is from a Toyota Supra twin turbo 1JZ 2.5ltr motor. It comes with a built-in wastegate and water and oil line plumbing for two turbos. See pics. Came from an importer, it has done little work and shaft feels good. I dont have any technical data on this turbo but I will try and answer your questions to the best of my ability.
$100.:)

Whats the Air Fuel Ratio? it should hopefully have it written on the housing like A/R .48 or something like that ... Depending on what that is i'll take it.

Also how are the gaskets on it? and IF there is any shaft play does it play worse in one direct or is it very little play all around?

hey maj mate how are ya?

the 600 is looking like it will be a hell of a lot of fun once its finished but there was something about the shaft stuffing up? I dont really know much about them but im in the market for a replacement one now.

I checked around and its going to be cheaper to get another one than to stuff around getting it fixed plus I have a mate who wants it for something he's working on (wouldnt say what but knowing him it wont work...)

What size and brand is yours now , easier to get the same or you could end up remaking the exhaust inlet and outlet flanges, maybe the first part of the exhaust and the outlet of the compressor side.
If need be plain bearing turbo's are easy to rebuild , main thing is to mark where the compressor wheel is in relation to the shaft, use tee handles to dissasemble and reassemble, and make sure the compressor wheel is exactly realigned.

Hey sorry Bohemion, I have had computer woes. Back to your question A/R ratio, none available from Toyota(they don't want anyone copying it), nothing on the turbo from what I can see. Good exhaust(metal) gasket and very little shaft play in any direction.
Cheers.

whoops sorry bout the thread hijack.

Maj im not sure, I'll have to dig it out and check it but making new flanges is no issue since I manage a waterjet profiling company (no 5 axis machines though...)
