I'm in + 2 mates if it's not raining.

how much, do you need a license and does your bike have to be rego'd???

$115 ($90 for the day, $10 for the track maintenence fund & $15 for a day licence), don't need a race licence & No rego required.
Broadford is really informal, roll up, fill out form, pay, wear out knee sliders. Last time there were 2 groups, up to 400cc & over 400, I've only been there once but there were only about 15 - 20 bikes there, we got so much track time that 3 of us were swapping bikes during the sessions [8D]
I'd say full leathers would be required though.
Broadford is a great track, top layout, up hill & down dale & a fair bit of run off if you happen to talk yourself out of going round a corner.

Well, those of us that actually attended had a top day out, it rained until about 11 & only my mate Hardcore Mark & his girlfiend Allison (sharing his CBR6) went out in the wet, Mark did about 1000 laps with the track to himself & even managed to ball up his Dunlop Qualifiers on a wet track [:0][^]
I finally decided to take part @ about 11.30, by the time I whacked my wets on, paid my money & got out there, the track was 90% dry - DOH ! :(
I scrubbed the wets in for 1/2 a dozen slow laps anyway then put the slicks back on & went straight out again on a dry track, from then on it was fun, fun, fun. :D Had a play with Mark & Deano for a few laps here & there throughout the day, tried not to run into Parker (who had never been there before so was being extra cautious) & generally went fast around corners [:p] - Note Sharky...... corners make you [8D] straight lines make you [|)]
Nobody crashed, Deano got the ex Rexie 1100 motor sorted & running strong (it was only marginally slower than the MIGHTY ZX9 [^]) I got my suspension dialled a bit more & plenty of track time was had.
Ice turned up to <s>get away from his kids</s> have a look but mysteriously forgot to bring his leathers ;)
Me & Deano dropped a couple of seconds off our previous best laps, my quickest was 1.04.8 & I think Deano did 1.07.4, dunno what times Parker was doing.
Deano got to have a session on his mates Period 5 GS 1000 racer too [:p] the bastard :( I'm jealous!
Oh yeah, this is Deano after using slicks for the first time -&gt; :D ask him about them sometime.
Hopefully we'll see some more members at the next one. :)
BTW.... Loads - you are a PUSSY, on call my arse, your "mates" told us the REAL story. [V]

Hey Darren, you left out the bit where Deano past you down the main straight in front of everybody[:0]. This was just before a rear suspension setup adjustment which made the green machine near on untouchable, but we won't forget it and I'm sure Deano won't either;)

It was a good day out even if I had to ride 130kms in the rain to get there. The ride home was fun, they was even a Ghostrider moment in there too[8D]

great day indeed. but fuck i am sore today.

got myself some slightly used slicks and had a good look at the right hand side of my rear slick today and it is toast. looks like i will have to do a island track day soon to even up the wear.

managed to take off 4sec off my PB with more to come

and slicks are now my best friend. so much more grip than i have balls. bike wasn't pushing the front mid corner compared to the intermediate tyres that i was running.
