hey I got a 96' zx7r and just recenctly had it serviced. they said everthing looked fine on it but just the other day I pulled up to my boys crib and oil was leaking from it. I checked the drain plug but still can't find where the leak is coming from. Any Ideas?

OoooK I thought a crib was where babies were put? Look for a broken bottle of baby oil eh.

Learn some manners toddler, introduce yourself, and what your streetfighter intentions are, if you're just after tupperware fixes then go find a baby kwak site.

Wash it all down with de-greaser, ride it and then check for a leak, this should make it easier to find.

Give him a break fellas, I can tell for sure that the leak is definately coming from the bike....... or the car that parked there before you, and that the mull bowl is nearly empty again...... Hey Chalky

Common problem on that model...only way to fix it is tighten the drain plug with a torque wrench.

reccomended setting is 135-151ft/lbs.Although its safe to go well beyond 210ft/lbs as its a high tensile drain plug and sump due to the massive power output. This may seem tight when your applying pressure to the wrench but thats because the drain plug seal needs to seat itself.

It may not look like its draining from the plug but you should definately start there, i have worked on these bikes for years and this was a very common problem.

Cheers and welcome.
