Biker Build off Sands vs. Rooke

Watched the usual Biker Build off shit (USA Crap) the other day but was surprised to see one of the guys using a KTM 990 super duke engine instead of the old Sludge Pump's they normally use. The bikes were to be raced on a circuit track, flat track and Drag raced. Unfortunately the Hog powered bike won.


Very unique designs though so I thought I'd add a couple of picts for your opinions....

Theres something about the KTM powered one that makes me keep looking at it.

I dunno if I really like it or not... Its Odd.

its weird got that 40's look about it..with the girder front and hard tail no wonder the hefty won its got decent suspenders

The Sands bike won because it had a decent susupsension and a better rider. If the LC8 engined bike of Rooke had actually featured a suspension half as good as the Sands bike, and had been equal riders, the LC8 would have crushed that old harley mill.

dont tell anyone but these guys have both built some awesome bikes. sands did one with a KR honda gp donk and another with gixer tailend etc. came out lookn hot!!

i like the harley powered one better. still needs a shorter wheel base, steeper rake angle, but i think it looks better. If they knew they were building them to race on a track why on earth would you build a hardtail!!! the harley powered one needs more exhaust on it though. its shootin right at your foot and im sure its deafening. cool though. better then the crap they normally build. i do like how the second bike hid the radiator by the rear tire. took me a min
