Hi everyone.
My name is Fernando and I am from Epping, Victoria.
Been browsing the site for the last few days and find it really good with plenty of good info.
I have also enclosed a pic of my current project.
Its a late 2001 ZX-9R.
I just got it and I am converting it into a streetfighter.
I will if possible post some more pics of it as I get some progress.
Previous bikes included, CB900 Bol D'or, '97 CBR1000, '97 CBRXX 1100 Superblackbird, '02 XJR1300 SP, '05 CBRXX 1100 Superblackbird plus a few more.
Thank you for providing such a nice site.

Welcome Fernando, good to see another Kwaka rider joining the fun. The ZX9R is a great base for a fighter ( Very underrated ) & theres few of them kicking round here now, so if you need any advice or questions answered this is the place to ask.:)

Hey Fernando, nice work mate. Your track record is sports tourers and naked torque machines so it's cool to see you hitting a more agile bike. Welcome aboard mate, and enjoy the ride.

Thank you for the welcome.
I have now got the main bits being painted. Went for KTM Orange with a bit of pearl over it.
Also ordered things like triple clamps, fat bars and adapters, braided lines and mirrors from Stuart.
Like you guys said.... He is a nice guy. Extremly helpfull.
Now I just have to wait.

Nice bike mate and a very clean garage too. Did you clean the garage yourself or did you get a friend to help you? That is a nice looking pushbike too but it looks like it hasn't had much use.

Thanks for the compliments.
You are right.
The bike doens't see much use at all.
I tend to spend most of my free time fixing a good mates Vespa.
You know how it is with trends this days.
The same mate cleaned my garage also.... of rubish and some good stuff also.
What do you ride?

I don't ride anything at the moment. I've been too busy cooking on my barbecue and entertaining my friends which gives me no time to ride. Do you use that barbecue much or is it like your bicycle? Just for show?

I am not sure if I should be posting any more pics in this area of the forum or start a new thread with the progress of my build.
Docktor I do like the mat black but decided on something a bit brighter this time as you can see on this new pic.
Regarding the ugly frames holes, I am thinking about some aluminium trumpets maybe anodised orange.
Time will tell.

I reckon you should use button head cap screws on your fairings. You also seem to be taking a lot of time finishing this thing Letoy. What are you doing with yourself? I reckon more time working and less time watching and wanking.

Don't worrie about him Damo1. I bet you that he rides a Vespa and is just jealous of not having the necessary skills to do such work.
I also think that if he does have a Vespa, he gets it fixed while he sips down some fancy Cafe latte at Lygon St while dreaming of having a Ferrari.
Hahahaha.
Whatever you do don't tell him that is beloved Vespa is build in India instead of Italy.
He might take it personally.

15-03-2007, 06:16 PM
Cucumbers came from India didn't they? He'll probably just come up with some sort of really neat Boolywood way of singing India's praises :D
