I used to have access to a scrap metal yard in the UK. Heron suzuki used to give him all their scrap...titanium cans, alloy tanks etc...('cept they were all stuff from race bikes).
We did find a race spec rear caliper once and a fuel tap....they were sooo light....confused the fook out of the local dealer when we took in the caliper looking for pads....like "How the fuck did you get one of them !!"...:D
Oh, and if they make those for the XJR..;)

Oh don't worry I'll fit it.

That's what I got it for.

Not fitting it straight away, I've got to run the CNC probe over it first ;)

CNC probe or a "ruby" is a measuring tool for a CNC that you can get a digital copy of a part so it can be reproduced ..
Well done Stocky .. you gonna make hundreds of them outta 2000 series AL. and sell them as the real deal ? :D

that is uber trick looking there!. How on earth do you get these things? Do you wear a trash can disguise and wait for the teams to throw stuff in there.

The color of the metal looks like its mag, is it actually titanium?

Kamakazebusa - We might need to talk I think ;)

No it's billet alloy.

It's a weird anodising.

I could tell you all about my "trash can" disguise but I'd have to kill you.

Plus I've got to work out how to get into the MotoGP padock in it yet LOL

I got it from a freind of a friend who works on the AMA Superbikes.
