Greetigs from the States! Just wanted to introduce myself. I just found this site and I think it's excellent.I live in Sacramento Cal., about a million people or so in and around here.I own the ONLY streetfighter in this entire city.I got so stinkin' fed up with everybody and their half brother by incest driving around on identical Gixxer 750's and 600's...you guys over there don't have a clue how STUPID americans are, believe you me,I can't hardly believe it myself... that I built something completely different ('87 Gixxer 1100) and she smokes just about everything else around here. They are truly afraid of my motorcycle. Anyway, I just had to get on here and get in touch w/the rest of the planet and say hello.Looking forward to keeping in touch w/ the Australians in the future...PEACE

Thanx Bro'...that light is an led unit off of a honda 600 I believe. It was given to me. I've been fortunate in that I've gotten alot of free parts and components at tremendous discounts, most of the folks around here have never seen a streetfighter much less know what one is and a half dozen or so are using my ride for promo purposes, local websites and such,I'm going to start producing some fighter stuff very soon...body parts and such, who knows, maybe some of you folks over there may want some of it sometime

Yeah and unfortunately, the rest of the planet associates me w/ him. Also, just for the record, I did NOT vote for that dude! I want to move to australia and bring my streetfighter with me. And stay there. For good. Chase Dingo's. You guys got Dingo's don't you? Maybe I'm thinking of Africa...staighten me out on that would you? You should try living in California for awhile! Believe me ,this place is a planet all it's own. But thanx for the welcome, real nice bunch of folks here. All you blokes, thanks for the warm welcome. I wonder how much it would cost me to get there? I've always wanted to go to australia. I'll have to brush up on my Aussie lingo though mate, otherwise everyone will think I'm american or something. By the way, what's a slabby?

Welcome gixxerjunkie.

A 'slabbie' is a slang term for 'slab sided frame' from the early gixxers(like your bike) . Dont ask me the model years, but there are a heap of guys on here who can sprout off gixxer details like a centrefolds measurements.

Mate we have dingo's but most of us only see them in zoo's the same as you. I mean do all americans have a bald eagle in a cage as a pet??

Wouldnt cost you too much to get here. Your bike might be a different matter.

Hey Chris, as mentioned in the email mate, welcome aboard.

As mentioned above, The "SLABBIE" got it's nickname due to the Slab sided look of the '85 - '87 GSXRs:

http://www.mcpoolen.se/images/mc/85/suzuki/gsxr750/blavit-snettframifran-hub.gif

I have no doubt that California is a world to itself mate, maybe why I have no inclination to go there.

Your bike is great mate, from the stumpy end to the USD forks not a lot has been left untouched. Excellent work.

Got it! thanx for that info...I hope you guys forgive my ignorance about the dingos, I hope nobody took that the wrong way. Probably a stupid question. This is a fun site, we don't have much around here like it...everyone on this site is real freindly and helpful.

Hey thanx Gix11... really nice site you Aussies got here, absolutly one of the best I've ever found,Also thanx for the encouragement on the machine, it was a lot of work, incidently, there's a real good ''before and after'' sequence of pics on my home page. It's name is ''Chupacabra''and real soon it's going to get dismantled and powder coated half to death and an '06 Gixxer1000 front end .

This is the most recent fighter project currently...'00 1200 -The name of this fighter in progress ( we give all the fighters names here) is ''Dingo Bandito''...really,we named it about a month ago. What this bike is going to need is a dingo tail( genuine ) and we have no clue as to where to find one...is there such a thing even available? This is a legitimate question. We have cash

Jeez mate, them Dingos are rare & elusive creatures, hardly see 'em around these parts anymore since the big eradication program we had when we found out they steal babies ;) if someone could find one & chop it's tail off (no easy feat - they have 9 rows of HUGE flesh tearing teeth, 30 or 40 razor sharp claws on each of their 12 feet & lazer beam eyes that can cut a man in half from 40 miles away) it'd have to be worth heaps of $$$ on the open market.
Then again, being Aussies you'll probly get one for a slab. [:o)]
Come over for a holiday mate, we'll have a ball with you. :D

I can get Dingo parts.Drove past a fresh road-kill just last week.Bloody things have been a pest up here ever since some brain surgeon decided there was too many of em on Fraser Island.Seen the remains off a Rottie that had its arse hole removed by a wild pack of Dingo's... nasty stuff.
Not real sure how a fresh tail would travel in the post tho.

My family used to have a boarder that had 2 pet dingoes (okay, okay, they were half breeds). My favourite moment was a pizza delivery guy calling to say "theres these two dogs that won't let me in the driveway". "they're not dogs, they're dingoes" Fuggin funny as a stoned teenager.

Gixxerjunkie's bike is sick! I met this nut off of craigslist when he put his bike up for sale just to see who'd be interested in it... he's got some sweet skills! As you can see... This bike is at least 10 times as sick in person! Sounds freagin awesome too, I took a video with sound on my camera phone but the file is too big for my phone to send. I'll have to take a shorter one and put it up on this site for you all to see...
