Hey guys just after the triple clamps for an 85-90 gsxr 750, or an 86-89 1100. Apparently these should fit my r1 forks, worth a try anyway. Cheers

I thought R1s had USD forks? Those model GSXRs you have listed are all RWU forks.

THanks for pulling me up on that gix, i was just basing my measurment s on a few web pages. lees 7/11 on oldskoolsuzuki.info used the same forks and triples so I figured id go with those measurments. I might head out to a wreckers and see what i can find that will fit. CHeers for now

Just measure the diametre of the fork legs mate (top and bottom), I'll tell if they are the same as a '92 750 or '91 1100 front end.

Fork diameter on an 85 750 is 41mm.
Just had mine polished, but the locai wrecker has
a lower of an RGV same dia forks but dont know if the
stem is the same. Someone might know here.
If you want I can measure them for you but might have to wait
untill after x-mas. Will ring a few people for you tomorrow
as I might know where there is a set.

Which parts do i need to measure? The lower of where the clamps sit or the upper part? Any specifics would be appreciated.

Both parts of the fork legs where the clamps fit as this will be what diametre top and bottom clamps you are going to need.

Ok, ij ust gave them a quick measure, it looks like 50mm at top and 54mm at the bottom.
So according to http://www.oldskoolsuzuki.info/perversepolisher/components/forks/index.htm I should be looking for a gsxr750 triple from 91-97. Kind scary how similar they are. Thanks for your help guys.

Ok, looks like i'll need to do a chop job, I'm now after any slingy or possibly even just the headstem. Let me know if you guys come across anything. I found a nice set of tl1000's which should fit the bill. Cheers.

hey just thinking, what do you reckon the chances are of a gsxr stem fitting into an r1 lower clamp. Could someone please measure up the diameter of the bottom of the stem so i can compare.

98-01 apid about 500 but will let it go for 300 including express post if you are keen. I am sick of looking at it, has never been used christ I haven't even taken it out of the box only opened it to take a pic for someone else.

May be just very handy, does it hold fat bars or just the street bars? WHere did u pay 500 for them, sounds like u got ripped... any way im gonna llook into welding some risers to the top clamp ( cause ive got no money) but if i can stretch my budget that far then i'll let u know for sure.

That was about 500 including postage and all the rest mate. Not sure if they take fat bars but you can find the yoke at austreetfighter.com.au that is where I got them, anyway if you want them you know where they are.
