View Full Version : I am giving up on my fighter sale

Good news and bad news.
Bad news is I am giving up on my fighter project as I don't have the funds/time/skill to finish it. I have woken up to myself and decided I can just buy one and be done with it.

Good new - I have a lot of stuff to sell that I have bought with the intention of putting it on my bike.

I will list the items here and post some pictures later, some things I have an idea of what I want for them some others I will just have to trust you guys won't try and rip me off. Anything that does not sell on here will go onto ebay but obviously I would prefer to sell to you lot.

Item 1:
1987 Suzuki GSXR1100 - This bike was in registered working condition when I got it, paid almost four grand for it but it is now in a million pieces, all the plastics have been removed, the tank, the engine, rear wheel pretty much everything except the swingarm, wiring loom and front end has been removed. I still have all of the parts that have been removed however some of them are in less than ideal condition as I had no intention of putting a lot of the parts back on so I was fairly brutal in the removal of said parts. I am not sure what this whole thing would be worth now but I would be very happy if I got around 2 grand for it, someone tell me if I am dreaming.

Item 2:ABM Top yoke conversion for 01 R1 - this is still in the box has not even been looked at - $300

Item 3:SOLD

Item 4:SOLD

Item 5:R1 swingarm I think this is an 01 model - Not sure on price I know how much I paid for it but probably paid too much.

Item 6: SOLD

Item 7: (SOLD)

Item 8:Carbon fibre ducati 999 single seat unit - I bought this off ebay a while ago it is very big fits on my GSXR subframe with heaps of room left - $300

Item 9:Streetbars from austreetfighter brand new still in packaging - silver colour - $50

Item 10:SOLD

I would prefer to sell this stuff local as a lot of it will be a pain in the arse to post but I am willing to post or send by courier organised by buyer if I get what I am after.

I would rather sell the GSXR all together, am willing to split but would sooner not.

Does the rear wheel inc sprocket carrier and cush drive and disc? Also i presume the rear is a 6in rim. if the front inc discs ill take both wheels.

JackTar
03-12-2006, 07:31 PM
The rear wheel includes everything that you see, and as I have no idea what you are talking about I will leave it at that :) I do know that there are some sort of triangular type rubbers on the other side of the rim and it appears to be missing some of those if that helps at all.

No problems mate. ill still take both. Give me a few days to organise transport for them to QLD. Consider them sold.

Mate as far as I know there is nothing wrong with them, you are welcome to inspect or I can take a closer pic if you like.

I would have made an offer on the lot......would make a fiiiiiine fighter project...except for the R! swinger, which is sposed to be a prick to get into the gixxer frames

but I'm trying to reduce my levels of clutter :(

I asked Ben about the swinger before I bought it and he said it would not be a problem and yes I am aware that we are not all as capable as ben but going by the amount of posts you have made large you must be an expert :)

lol expert drinker with too much time to waste:D

I read an article on OSS about the mods needed to fit up the R1 swinger to a GSXR frame .....and it was a long list.

When you say you'll just buy one, what have you got in mind?

JT,

I've read your post a few times and I can't help feeling you're having a bit of a go...So just in case you are...here's a link to an OSS article about fitting R1 swingers to GSXR frames

Mate I have read that article before and I am in full agreeance with you my friend it looks like an absolute nightmare of a job but I shit you not they were Bens exact words, I was originally going to get him to do it for me and that is what he said.

Jacktar you should seriously consider bens bitza. Have you read the spec sheet? you get alot for that amount of money. I have been amazed its lasted this long. Trust someone who has only done a basic build compared to bens. All those individual parts add up.

JackTar

Mate I am as keen as hell and I really hope he doesn't sell it to someone else but I really need to offload some of this stuff I am in enough debt already after my ex wife and her parasites I mean lawyers jammed a massive pineapple up my arse.

JackTar

I am in Peakhurst Sydney mate I can mail it as it is still in the original packaging but no idea how much it will be.
For anyone that is interested the whole GSXR1100 (albeit in a thousand pieces) is still available.
I am surprised no one has shown any interest in the swingarm or tail unit yet, guess I will put them on ebay just wanted to make sure none of you guys wanted them first.
