I've sprayed my engine gloss black but it looks too shiny, i want that factory finnish, slightly dull but still gloss, i tried satin black but it looks too much like matt,
anyone got any tips?
Maybe some way of taking some of the shine away ?:D

Road grime works wonders for taking the shine off, just ride the sucker;)

Depends on what paint your using dude. In my painting with vht satin its tricky to get right. Pretty much needs a real good curing in a oven to go properly satin, slowly moving from 90 to 180 degrees (shiny in the sun but definatley not gloss or matt). Little flecks of overspray landing on parts of the motor your not aiming at can give the matt finish.
Got to really keep the satin can shaken well too, ive done satin stuff on motors thats come out gloss towards the end of the can from not shaking it enough.
