Fimp, I will be after a heat shield too to keep the s/arm clean. Can you order 2 and I'll transfer the cash to you ?

I checked the size, and they are 4" ones, there's 8 of them, i also have the end cap if you want it.

I need the push / pull throttle cables for a '90 GSXR 750, if you can help with those.
( i'd guess they'd be all the same anyway )

( P.S. it wasn't me who said i could order stuff )

Moog......

Thanks Fimp. I'll need to add to the shield, but it will give a fixing point.
What are you running 'trapps on ? One can or 2 ?

Moog, Have you posted them yet ? If not don't worry about the discs, I'll just take the end cap. I got bored working today so I took the arvo off. I found a load of 3/16 st/st washers....put one between each disc bolt....and bingo...

Now the nerdy maths bit.[:I]
Each gap is now 2.5 mm, times 3.14(pie) x diameter 100 =785mm sq. Times that by 7 gaps =5495mm sq.
Circle area is 3.14 x radius x radius. 5495/3.14=1750
Square root of 1750 is 41.83mm.....
Which means in short all those 'lil gaps are the equivalent of a 82mm diameter hole :D

Now she's breathing proper...:D

Ok, the end cap it is, i've got the cranked stud & dome nut, i'll stick that in as well.

not really that large an area mate

the boundary layer effect would make the gaps a bit smaller than they actually are

now THAT was nerdy LOL

Hang on a sec Moog....Thats a different system to mine.Mine has a 4" solid alli end cap and 6 bolts that go into the muffler. I thought just the 3" had the stud and nut type fixing.
Thanks anyway mate but its not what I need.

Got bored this arvo so started playing.[}:)]..was going to make a new end plate...Just for a laugh I started the bike with no baffles [:o)]...and it was no louder:(...
So I looked around and the end piece out of the stock xjr pipes was exactly the right size. The collar is the old end cap machined down. Think I might look for another can now as I prefer the twin pipe look.
Fimp, Have you ordered the bits yet ?? If so I'll still have the shield as I might change things again oneday...

Ok, If you haven't ordered yet don't bother with the heat shield for me. If you had ordered I would have taken it, but as you haven't...
Cheers anyway.

Sooo I'm still looking for discs...
I have some 4" external ones and lots of 4" internal.....yep theres about 2 mm difference in diameter. 98mm compared to 96mm...just enough to be noticeable...:(
I would happily swap my externals if anyone (Fimp ?) has any of the internals spare...Else its off to evilbay....

Fimp, Basically the internal discs go inside a 4" tube...thus they are slightly smaller than those that sit on the end of the can.
