TBH crash, never heard of anyone running one of those on this site.

Wouldn't mind building a classic cafe racer out of one though.

I've seen a CBR400 in Bris with a TRX motor. I didn't notice it at first (had the full fairing on), but then the bloke started it and I knew there was something different about it. It looked pretty tidy - and sounded sweet.

That could be some fun on a nice twisty country road. What's the power output on one of those? 70-80 hp?

yea i think ive seen that vfr, or i might be thinkin of the one with a 954 in it dunno but they deff look good,

and the trx's are about the 80hp mark, its not great but compared to the 45-50 i got at the moment itl be good, and ill have about 10x more torque which should be fun, and as for the twisties the little 250's are already heaps of fun can keep up most guys around my skill untill they hit a straight haha

anyway still keen for a block if anyone hears of one around cheap, or even just measurements of the mount distances would be enough to get started.

I'm fooling around with a Trx at the moment. It used to be green too (until I attacked it with a tin of Export matt black).

Hey God what front end did you have in yours?

They are good fun (and sound the part) especially with those straight bars.

Hi barkn,

Nah, the trx is not mine - although after a ride through the snowys on a mates trx last christmas I was tempted to buy one and have a play.

I am pretty sure the one pictured has a 900SS Duc front end.

check these guys of www.trx850.myfreebb.com

Thanks God,
I'm a member of that forum but they've been off air recently (gone bust or somethin').
Theres a bloke up Bris way with gsxr usd front on his (plus some neat import parts from Japan) but I've been looking around for an R1 which seems to be a common change. (Most prices seem to be almost what I paid for the bike in the first place though. Hard to convince the better half to let me spend that much).

The tdm 850/900 engines are the same, too. Different firing order,so the trx version mimmics a v twin.

Hey Barkn,

Other than the bling factor, on a bike like the trx are you really gonna get that much more our of some USDs than compared to gold valving the originals?

Did I just ask that? Err - of course "bling" or "because you can" is all the reason anyone needs.
