i need to find out where i can get an offset drive sprocket, for a big suzuki, i think the splines are all the same, (mines a GSX 1100 EF). I need a 530 x 15T with a 10mm offset. Any ideas ??[:p]

Chunky washers?
Some guys have taken the centre's from old sprockets and welded them to the new one to spacer them out.
OSS has some threads on this.
If you go past a certain point you will need an outrigger plate, which basically supports the shaft from the end.

^^^^^^^^ What Chalk said, it's quick, cheap & easy (a bit like him really :))

I'll admit I'm quick (on the bike that is), and I do find it easy (to go around you that is), but cheap? [}:)] cheap? :(

Its worth looking through all teh suzuki models - good example is chadams who found that a ZZR1100 (one year model only) had a 23mm offset sprocket! that fit the GPZ.

Surely Suzuki would have done something stupid like that at some point..

go to the JT sproket website and match the spline index..

hey moog,

I got a 12mm offset sprocket from AFAM direct from Japan.
i used a 17T so the chain wouldnt touch the front of the swinger.

they have various offsets available.

530 chain too.

my bike is all set up now with 5.5 inch GSXR rim anbd 180 rubber.
all i need to do is weld a tag for the brake torque arm.

go to the site then english - motorcycles.

up the top in the centre you will see "OFFSET SPROCKETS"
heres is a quick cut and paste of what they have, (all the formats are gone).

I contacted them via email direct and it was a surprisingly easy experience.

they shipped it fast, no language barriers.

oh, i used the "13mm offset" which when used with a spacer gives 17mm apparent offset.

A std sprocket is recessed 5mm on the back side.

so 17mm - 5mm = 12mm total offset from std.

i then had 12mm turnd off the sprocket side axle spacer and everything lines up perfectly.

work out your total offset requried from std and check the back of your sprocket to see if it is indeed recessed as well.

i need a 10mm offset from a flat sprocket, i'll make up the gearbox spacer myself cos i've squeezed in a double row output bearing, so the length of the spacer is shorter anyway.
Thanks for your help Ed.
