Thinking of fitting a SV650 engine to a RGV250.

Anyone knwo where I can get a crashed SV650 or a complete engine.

The later injected one (complete with wiring harnes and ECU etc) would be ideal but carby one is ok

Thanks

I have put an honda XL600 into an rgv chassis and there is not very much room left, it is a tight fit, don't know how much bigger the sv650 is, hope that you get it worked out it would be an awsome bike if you make it fit.

keep us posted with the progress that you are making.

still would need all the extra bits though,
might be better to pick up a crashed one with a cracked frame etc

Along the same lines of fitting a completely different engine,
Little clip in Febs "Performance Bikes" magazine,

TZR125, UK spec bike, fully faired, learner legal,
fairly small in size and normaly about 12 bhp....
.... Fitted with a Honda CR500 Moto-X engine !!
How much fun would that be !!

I remember watching the SOS racing (Sound-of-Singles)
Most of them seemed to be old Moto-GP / TZ / RG type frames
fitted with big Dirtbike 4-strokes, DR800, XL600, Rotax, Huskys etc.
Looked and sounded bloody good fun too.
