Hello Everybody!

Perhaps 2006 will be a better year for gettin the Vic Crew together and on the road...?

Anyone interested in a ride Sunday 12 Feb?

As always, meet point & time, destination, details etc will be finalised if anyone is interested in coming for a ride.

I'm think'n of going on a trip on the Austraila Day weekend. Got two places in mind at the moment, there's the Confusion rally at Licola or there's a ride to Parliment house Canberra for motorcycle awareness. Any thoughts ???????

09-01-2006, 04:00 PM
Let us know if you're coming to CBR mate, we'll have a beer or two.

If there's a ride to Pelican House, can we riot?

Iceman
09-01-2006, 04:35 PM
It'll be a riot alright!

As for hav'n a beer or two, you better make it at least half a dozen, coz the more I drink the funnier I get!:D (Well it seems that way from the inside of my head. Dozens may disagree, but what the fuck do those tossers know!)

Hey Iceman, I got a similar dilemma on Australia day w/end, I do a fair bit of camping & trail riding at Licola & I'm trying to organise a mob to go up for Oz w/end. If I'm up there I'll definately get a few of the lads & lasses over to the Confusion Rally on the Sat. night (Phil Para & his band are playing & they are the best blues/rock band in the country & he is an AWESOME guitar player)
Otherwise the Phillip Island Classic race meeting is on the same w/end, Im keen to get down there & check out the Period 5 (Forgotten Era) racing (some really trick old skool stuff - Zs, GS & GSXs, XS 11s, LCs, Rolladoors, etc.)
Decisions, decisions, let me know if you'll be at Confusion, if I'm up there, we'll have an ale (or 6, I like a laugh!)

Iceman

I went to the confusion last year and had an absolute ball. Thats why i'm in two minds as where to go. I'll have to have a yak to afew of the boys I ride with. I think it will be a majority rules decision. Hopefully we come up with a destination by this time next week.
Of coarse if enough of you guys want to go to either Licola or the nations capital I could be swayed.

Sounds good to me... Just gotta whip these guys into shape with finishing the Bandito... Actually the guy that owns the shop said he saw ASF advertised in a bike mag and asked me if I knew of it. I said nup never heard of it ROFL... na.... I said sure.... so I might direct him to the forums so we can all put some pressure on him to finish the thing before Feb at least.

Nice guys... they do great work and good prices...but urgency is not in their vocabulary. Still I didnt take it to them for a fast job... just a good one and so far that seems to be happening.. Im just an impatient prick :D

Are we still on for a ride this w/e?
I have to do a full repaint on one of my ZXR's this week, if this ride's still happening, I'll make sure it's all finished in time.

I'll see how my head is in the morning, 10am is early for me coming from Brunswick, may give me a chance to sober up before I get there.

I'll have to take it easy too, not to much going above 4000rpm atm

Seems like you mexicans couldnt organise a free ride on a rollercoaster. ;) So are any of you actually turning up on the fools run or maybe you have a more local ride or maybe you will sleep in. :D

Hey oz,

It's not the organising that we seem to have a problem with - it seems to be more a lack of heart, committment and generally just bein lazy softcocks (heaven forbid we actually ride more than 100km from home, get out of bed before 11am or go somewhere different than the spurs...).

For fucks sake, if people can't organise or motivate themselves with 6 weeks notice on a warm dry (but not too hot) day then why are they botherin. Then again, it's pretty easy to have great intentions when you're sitting on yer arse in front of the keyboard.

I'm curious if the vic crew who are down for the Fools run realise Coffs is just a little but further north than the spurs. Fuck it's gonna be a long ride.

I organised the day as it was a ride I was wanting to do so anyone turnin up was a bonus. Anyway, Deano and I had a great day's ride through some the the nasty little backroads to a little country pub for munchies. Deano has the photos.

On the upside, with a turnout of 1 streetfighter (the Mighty Hornet is back to stock waiting on to be swapped for the Daytona), it can only improve from here.

unfortunately, Jack (the lazy arsed barsteward) didnt get out of bed till gone nine so we missed the start point, we ended up hooning up the back way to warrigal and environs, did about 350kms all up and had a blast

Well, it's a start I guess....
Cheers for the picture Deano. I knew Deano would make it. Always reliable. Try and get it together next time guys and gals!
Isn't it also time we saw a NSW rideout with some pictures and members? Surely it's not just us Queenslanders who can do it properly?
