This may sound like a stupid question.... Has anyone or does anyone think the swing arm can be turned upside down on a Busa ( my busa) what are the issues....

i thought of doing this myself 1st with a gsxr 94 arm then i tried a gsxr 03 arm. on both these swingarms the top of the brace where it runs over the chain is slightly different than the other side. and when flipped over the brace fouls the chain. it maybe different for the busa arm but i doubt it. also where the linkages mount to the swingarm will be way off if you flip it over.

What would be the advantage of flipping your swingarm NTB ??

No advantage with performance.... only to look different... Ive been studying the photos I have and I agree there is no way it will work, without hacking shit... the linkages will foul!!!!! I have to much time over here in shit land..... Idiot I am!!!

cheers for the comments mate..

Getting down on my busted-arse knee in the shed, I reckon you could bottom brace the swing arm. You'd have to make a jig for the swing arm to sit in to stop any distortion whilst welding the brace on.

What about a TLR1000 swingarm, would that fit? It looks like an upside down busa swingarm :D:D, chainguard would be on the right side at least[8)]

Pete I've got a TLR arm you can measure if you like, but it's on Shaun's bike so you can't have it.
