Its a new tyre! but the hero knobs hit first, just!! The few degrees of rake dont help, yes it is still a bus though... My plan is to design build, or have built, a spondon style frame.. very soon.

If you are handy with tools building your own frame is not an un-doable task. Complicated -Yes but achievable. Understanding the Gumbiment Regulations is a big part of it. Understanding the Engineering requirements is a big part of it. Building a One Off Jig isn't a big part of it. There are lots of cheats & shortcuts BUT the whole process regardless of how you do it is not easy by any standard. I spoke to a clubmate of mine about 30 minutes ago and he does have room on his books just after Xmas due to a cancellation so you MIGHT be in luck if you want a local product. I said Might. Mail me if this spikes your interest. IF you want to build your own and are serious about it I will point you in the right directions. I will happily talk to a genuine enthusiast and share knowledge but I will not simply publish such specialised knowledge in a public forum. It has taken myself & clubmates 2 years to get to where we are now and I will not share that knowledge with the average yobbo forum user that will call our suppliers & stuff things up for us(which has happened before I'm sad to say)

The impressive bit is finding a 8000k Busa for $10k.
Been looking for months.

I fancy an unfaired Busa, but want to go quite minimal,
Small clocks and headlight, small single seat and subframe,
short 4-into-1, Similar to Dave's/Dodge's in the Streetfighter Mags.

Mate up here in Brissy has a "Motorhead - Ghetto" Turbo from the USA
(was in Rapid a few months back) on his Bus, Still got rego and run on the streets and pulls 8's on the strip !

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/3127/pitgirlsjpeg3lg.jpg

Have you looked at the Spondon frame kits ?
Not cheap, but its a bit more than just a frame,
and although everyone seems to think they're over-rated
im yet to see anyone turn out their equal.

http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/5742/spondonbus9dl.jpg

Unfaired Turbo Busa,
Got to be "King of the Naked bikes"
Either way, your a top-bloke,
and im bloody impressed [8D]

A little moneys in the bank,
The Busa's sat in the garage,
Sad thing is I just know i havent got the brains / skill / patients / time to build anything like that :(
Last time i got stuck into a major project it took about 6 weeks before i got pissed off, sold it, and bought another Kat.
I can always dream :(

I never really noticed before until just then but in the turbo Busa shot at the top Pete looks as if he's been hit by lightning or has some electricity running through his jacket. Now that's a man who knows how to get a buzz! ...And is the other guy going backwards? Pete's just left the line and the guy on the other side is back from there. You don't get a head start for no fairings do you?

That price is doable for me, much better than i was quoted!!! The only drama I have is fitting the intercooler in behind!! I think it will be a drama..My rake has increased by 3 deg..( by S and R triple clamps)I want to get rake back down to standard !!!

Guys, I would like to thank you all for the bits of advice, so far, it has stired my thoughts on how I want the bike to be in the end beyond my wildest wanking props>> ( silva saint!! dont worry my wife thinks shes hot too!)... As much as I loooove spondon ( I too, will have one some day!!!) I would like to a Aussie frame builder the chance to do it... Because I would like to help as much as possible...

The pic is a straight up drag race no brackets. It was my first time... that run was my best reaction but bounced the rev limiter, mono, blah, blah. its heaps and heaps of fun!!! Im learning.... soooo much differant than lapping eastern creek, oran park, etc...Ive had her at 310km/h on road to Stroud on its first run..... man, my head pressed on the tank simpson helmet, fuck they are loud... Anyone who done has done this sort of speed on a naked thing, no screen knows what a rush it is...I think I met God.. I was a paratrooper for 12 years and parachuting got nothing on it!!

As you can see like all of you I love bikes.... GSXRs, Suzuki are my pick... Thanks again for your help... All your pics are great...

Hey Pete. How did you manage to change your picture again as well? You obviously know how I individual coded each picture or you know your stuff on computers yea? I made it so no images would ever get overwritten. You've stumped me! Email me the drag one again and I'll post it next to the burnout: webmaster@streetfighters.com.au

That Busa is actually the 2015 stock model. He rode it against the rotation of the earth and ended up back here in 2005. That will teach him to ignore the tank warning sticker about not putting it in top gear when your riding against the earths rotation. Still at least he stopped before he got to the dinosaurs :D
