Hello everybody!

Spotted on www.quicksales.com.au

the chassis is fukt, check out the first pic!

so you paying for an engine (which probably needs new cases at approx $100 each), swingarm and rear wheel

too far gone IMO [xx(]

But.... If you wanted a base for a Special like a Spondon or similar it's a great buy. A lot of work if you want to restore it tho'. My 04' GSXR750 was alot more mangled than this but it's coming along nicely due to my hard work. A replacement frame , part exhaust, straighten the front end , some cheap bodywork and you've got a unique bike for $7-12k . It is even cheaper if you build your own frame as well but thats beyond most of you lot. Building things yourself isn't a black art but much can be done by the average bloke without resorting to cheque book bike building..

Chop - showing off mate? What's all this "but thats beyond most of you lot" business? Are you knocking up frames as well mate? Show me your work, I'm intrigued.....

Yes, I build frames. Mostly for my clubmates. No, I am not accepting outside orders at this point due to a number of reasons including full order book. Here's one I did that I put a CB750 K2 engine in a while ago. It's 2/3 finished in the picture and was collected about 20 minutes after the last weld cooled. Up til now I've only buiilt rigids but over the next 2 weeks I'll be knocking up a specialised swingarm jig for my GSXR. There are a few of us that build Jap Frames out here but you will find it hard to get any of us to build anything for anyone outside their own clubs. With the prohibitive legistlation was have to deal with it's hard as hell. We also have rediculous prices on the tooling and materials we use as well. What alot don't realise is that many of the frames produced overseas will not pass Engineers Certificate in NSW/QLD/VIC...I'm happy to talk on the subject and share knowledge with those that want to do their own but if you want a frame-talk to me next year....

Gaaahhh I HATE seeing that...

Seriously it makes me feel actually physically sick to look at it... [xx(]

Im so glad I had mine for 2 years and managed to avoid that... I used to wake up in a cold sweat some nights after dreaming about it looking like that...
