hi all,

the new motor for the SV is on its way and i plan on swapping out my current gears and clutch plates (cos i know i have been nice to them, plus the new engine has more k's on it)

im just wondering if anyone has done this kind of thing on a modern suzuki (i imagine they are all pretty similar)

will i need special tools etc?

i need to swap over anything i want to change and get my engine shipped off (got the new one exchange) in 2 weeks at the most

or is this stuff too tricky? should i look at getting the shop to handle it?

the other alternative is to get the new engine in and just fang it up and down the street to test out the gearbox etc
but it would be nice to know that all the extra care i took with my gearbox wasnt for nothing! :D

i know you can swap the GSXR 750 6 speed gearbox into a GSXR 1100. not that it helps you.

Shayno, can the 750 6 speed handle the brute HP of the 11[?][?]. i know the straight cut 11 gears are still 1 of the strongest ever built, but dunno if the 7fiddy were as solid?
