View Full Version : Goin out on a limb - Anyone like Bobbers?

I dont know if they'd be considered a streetfighter - maybe they are too cruiser-ish, but with the right modifications I reckon they look alright.

Heres a pic of a GS 1100 with a bobber mod. This was a pic from eBay U.S and the guy selling it had got this far, then the bike was stolen, then recovered, then it sat for a couple of years. So its not in good condition, but I can see some real potential in it. Some flat 'bars, USD forks and modern running gear/brakes and it'd be on the right path.

I'm with ya mate. Looks like the old Ratt bikes back in England years ago. Crying for matt black paint all over. They look great when they're done right.

Well, I'm a member of a Jap & Brit Chopper & Custom Club so my opinion is easily gauged. Bobbers were originally just stock bikes with all the un-necessary flashy parts binned or simplified. They were the 'Fighters of their day and their modern counterparts share much in common with Fighters when you get down to brass tacks..
