I read in SF134 about Speedfab doing coversion kits for late model GSXR clocks on early GSXR's. I sent them an email wanting to know more and the response is as follows

Hi Dean,
The idea is you buy the new style gsxr clocks, front loom and speedo sensor and pickup, then send them to us with your old clocks and front sprocket nut.
We then make a bracket to carry the clutch slave cylinder and the sensor pickup and modify your sprocket nut to take the sensor. cost around £200.
We then modify the front loom to plug into your existing wiring cost around £200.
When you get it back you only need a bracket to mount the new clocks and its plug and play time.

I think I may go with this instead and take the ally case option similar money way more features
