Anyone get engineer cert for a 7/11. What did they require (extra bracing??), if in Sydney who did you use?

If you have an older frame can you rego the bike under that compliance eg. new bandit engine in 80's model GSRX750 frame???? or does it have to be under the currently regod bike?

Any pointers before I embark on the project would be excellent!

Cheers

Usually you would require an Engineer's Certificate, and I would guess they main thing they would look at is brakes, but yeah, possibly frame bracing, espec with slabby frames as they are quite 'light.'

HOWEVER when I got mine rego'ed, the blue slip guy somehow got it rego'ed with the 11 engine in it without an EC! We told him the slingshot 7 frame was the same as an 11 frame (well it kinda is!), and since I had 6-pots and 'same' suspension as the 11, he got it rego'ed no problems... I did ply him with a couple of cases of beer tho!

Slabby frame and bandit he wouldn't let through tho, but if you were 2 build a slingshot 7/11 then I could put u on to him...

I feel that one has to register it as an ADJUSTMENT OF RECORDS? GRA77V or gsx1100 to Mr blue slip has no consequence to hithem!? just make sure that if you INSURE ya ride that ALL RECORDS are accurate

My first 7/11 (actually a 7/1340) was registerd in QLD and no one even asked what sized engine was in it. i never tried to hide anything ... just no one asked. not the guy who did the rwc or QLD transport.
