At last my bike has wheels... I have wire up the ingnition, but the CDI is toast, I will hopefully pick one up this week. I still have to wire up the lights and blinkers, but that is a 30minute job. Well enough talk have a look... it should be cruising the roads of sydney by new years..

Nice work mate! See what you mean by a tight fit with that back wheel. Is the chain going to clear when you get the sprocket on? ...and is that a standard GPZ swingarm?

I had about 8mm machined off the sprocket face, I have had it mocked up with the chain and it just fits. It is a stock swing arm as well, they came stock with the ecentric chain adjusters... They are a bit of a pain to setup, but they give you an extra inch in the rear when set in the lower position.

I have sorted out my electrics, I took it for a short ride this afternoon, it goes great. All I need to do tomorrow is wire up the blinkers & headlight, and change the front fork oil..

The bike has tons more power with the carbs and jet kit... I luv it...

I wont be too far behind u mate! I've set the 21st of Jan as my deadline (I work better under pressure, or so I think...) which will be a coffee night at The Throttle Stop for another website (usually get 20-30 bikes)... u should come along!

I ride with this guy on my fighter bandit 1200. This klacker rocks cause with the smallish carbs, hi comp, bore out and 8 valve engine it will light up the rear with minimal throttle. The bottom end and mid range is spastic fantastic! and there's still plenty of top end. Very deceptive bike!

Keep workin on er` chadams u will get there.a quick word, jetting those filters can or may prove frustrating.UNI`s are a great product,(i have used them on my dirt bikes)The trophies are on the mantel, but on the road they draw too much off idle.Try jetting them but i gave up?

mad mundy, the carbs work well, when its cold it is a little flat in the mid range, but once it is warm it goes well. The diaphram in one of the carbs is pretty crap, but it does the job (just). I had a quote for new ones and the want upwards of $200 each. The dyno jet(stage 3) kit I used was for a kz1100(us spec). It basically a gpz1100 motor with carbs from a gpz750. Give mind was injected, I tracked down some gpz750 carbs, they bolted on with stock intake manifolds. The pilot jet for the gpz750 and kz1100 are the same, so The jet kit work well as it contained main jets to run with no air box and needles to match.

Dont know if its of any interest to you but...
I know of 2 Gpz11's converted to carbs,
1 used 34mm GSX11 Katana carbs (off my 1100SD)
1 used 36mm carbs of a GSX1135 (EF or EFE ? Not sure)
Both were pleased with the results.

Probabley similar to your 34's off a Gpz.

I'll be giving the bike a lick of paint this weekend, it will be the standard mat black.. I have always like it... Then it might be up for sale. I am getting married at the start of April and the funds are a little dry. So I have to sell one of my bikes either the gpz or the dr250 has to go. If any one is interested send me a message. the DR is already in the for sale area. I'm thinking maybe putting on ebay or trading post. :-(

My bike was stolen, damn those sheep. Bet you've never seen a lamb drive a bike, it's rather impressive until you realise it's your bike they're going off with and by that time it's all too late :( The other one I have has four wheels but it looks like a car so I don't like it much.
