I am feeling a little frustrated this week, my bike has now been off the road for 5 months… not good. It’s a gpz1100 1984. The fuel injection computer died so I decided to convert it to carbs. The carb kit took over two months to come and during that time I got itchy feet. So I fitter a gsxr1100 shock, then I found some cheap gsxr1100 rims 3.5 front 5.5 rear. Then a mate gave me some bandit 1200 forks.
I found some of the wiring was dodgy so I strip it bare and have start adding it all back on. Currently I am wait on my new head stem for the triple clamps and for the rear hub to come back as I need it to be machined down to fit into the swing arm, it was about 15mm to fat….
What is left on the shopping list before it will be on the road is:
Front/rear tyres
A 530 chain
Headlight and blinkers (optional)
A fork seal and fork oil
Starter solenoid
Fuel.
A free weekend to put it back together…
A coat of matt black paint for tank and set unit….
So not much to go…
I should get some pics up loaded over the week end..
