Anyone into sand dirt drags as opposed to bitumen ?

Seems no one in NSW is game to put on an event even though there are an amazing number of machines out there in sheds around the place.

we got the NQ dirt drags on this weekend(www.nqdirtdrags.com.au) and beach races on the 7th? of october.
i'm runnin a 900 blade on street tyres this week end and hopfully have me gixxer runnin with knobbies in october.

Yeah that's what I mean Scotty.
Always such events in other places (nth QLD) but never in NSW.
I took the bike up to Purga Creek some years ago but that's nearly 1000km each way.
But never found anything closer.

jus found out todat that they've put down about a foot of sand on top of the dirt so should make it fun lol.

Went to a WA meet in April, quickest "bikes there were a couple of gsxr thous with kart rear axles , 2 driving wheels with atv type knobbys , they did have a tendancy to exit stage left (or right) at the drop of a hat
then there was a v8 holden powered paddle tired beast but it was also a bit misguided , looked like a hell of a ride :)
