K7 Gixer Thou shock drops right in on a MK1 Bandit 12 with the dog bones spaced out 2mm each side (by memory) to stop 'em fouling the shock spring and i think u might have to cut a bit of yer battery box coz of the remote res.. also talk to Mozza, I think?? he has a gixer shock in his B12..

Not sure if this helps... but 05-06 Gixer Thou shocks are identical and 07 Gixer thou shock looks different... BUT... the mounting bolts 18,19,20,21 and 22 are the same part numbers on both 05-06 and 07.. so with my logic if an 07 rear shock fits in a MK1 B12 then i'd assume 05-06 would aswell, maybe there dif lengths? i dont know.. but my conclusion is for $100 posted buy it from Joe, see if it fits with a few washers on dogbones, if not sell it, thats great value for a Gixer thou shock and I can vouch for Joe, top bloke and good seller.. and part should be in top nick..

GSX-R1000 K5,K6 - SU503: length 325 mm, stroke 70 mm
GSX-R1000 K7 - give me a minute, im looking..

the 09 may be a better bet,as it has more adjustment and i have a late model 1000 swing-arm. (08 i think)

How hard is it to put into a bandit 1200?

dylan: as per todd's first reply, drop yours, offer up new one, then 2mm washers either side to clear spring.

blackkat: the 09 shock is slightly shorter, meaning a lower ride height and has a stiffer spring... but i am 95kg it was good for me. you can correct the ride height with some jack up dog bones (i make these as well)

cheers.joe.

ps. thanks for the plug todd ;)

it'll go but the 04/05 gsxr 600/750 shocks are longest at 330mm eye to eye... something to keep in mind.
the 600/750 have showa shocks, and the res. sits on a 90* angle to the shaft. the KYB in the gsxr1000's sit on a 45*
